Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) (RQF)
With the growth of private training companies, coupled with the governments drive to increase apprenticeships, it is a great time to become an assessor and work in the Training Sector. This qualification replaced the A1 Assessor course.
This is a distance-learning course that can be completed in your own time.
The course must be completed within 12 months of the start date.
Assignments will be accessed via the online learning portal when they are to be completed and returned to the course tutor for assessment.
You will receive timely feedback in order to improve your work should you need to.
After the successful completion of the course you will receive your nationally recognised certificate.
Personal tutoring and coaching.
You will need a placement to assess two learners in the workplace. This can be done remotely and we can potentially provide the learners for you depending on the subject area.
The support that is given to students determines the success and quality of a distance learning course. You will be assigned to a personal tutor who is available 24/7 for feedback and to answer any questions that you might have. You will also get career guidance to improve your chances of employment.
Who is this course for?
Someone who is looking to work in the Education and Training sector as a tutor/assessor. Your experience and qualifications may improve your suitability for certain assessing roles.
There are no specific entry requirements but ideally we are looking for a minimum of Level 2 in English and Maths, although we look at individuals on a case by case basis. A good level of English is essential.
Gain employment as an Assessor or go on to complete an Internal Quality Assurance qualification.
